This was my favourite part of the whole trip. This castle was magical. You had to hike in a bit to get to it and once you got there you had a bit of everything. Everything I had thought of when I pictured Scotland in my imagination before going: ruined castle, mossy greenery around it, stunning views of Lock Awe in one direction and then views of the highlands amongst the misty clouds in the other direction. We had 45 minutes here. I walked so fast to get there, to make the most of the time.
