Today we used a book I had bought, Walks of Edinburgh, we guided ourselves up Calton Hill for some great views and interesting buildings and monuments. We decided on Calton over Arthur's seat. Because, just looking at it tired me out!
Calton Terrace Mews, old carriage houses turned into housing made for a quaint feel in the big city.
At the top of Calton Hill, the Scottish Monument
City Observatory
Nelson Monument, which John climbed up while I sat on a rock and rested
View of Holyrood Palace and Arthur's Seat
Rose Street shopping
We made it to the top
Princes Street Gardens
Came across this great music outside the art gallery
And then all of a sudden a bunch of guys in kilts were walking by,
and they stopped to take in some of the music
My four glasses of water after climbing the mountain (hill)
Venison and Scotch whisky flight
Live pub music again...so easy to find!
