When Anderson opened his John Deere farm set and exclaimed, "I can't believe this!" - which brought huge smiles to all our faces and a few tears to my Dad's face.

...and ruining the blinds in your room as you try to catch a glimpse of Santa's sleigh.

On Christmas Eve we stayed home and just slowly took in the day and night. There was fresh air, sunlight, moonlight, sparkling frost and sparkling lights. A great day of relaxing, visiting, nibbling, and enjoying all the magic of the season.

24 - unplug

I do this blog for myself, as a creative outlet and as a way to reflect. But reflecting back, I wonder what I may have been thinking when I decided to do a post-a-day countdown to Christmas, in what is arguably the busiest month of the year. There has been no shortage of topics, images and things to reflect upon, but some days, I walked that fine line of letting virtual life get in the way of real life. So here's to unplugging for a few days and focusing on the many real things around me. Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season.

23 - countdown

Well the countdown is almost over. We did an advent calendar countdown that built up a scene of woodland creatures. I'll post early for the 24th, and take a little break from the virtual world.

22 - slow

Amongst the hustle and bustle at this time of year, may there be time to just slow down and take in the simple beauty of the season.
